Why Journey of Hope Counseling?
We are a structured Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Program. This model of therapy has proven to be much more effective at treating mental health issues than traditional methods. This is because it focuses on providing individuals with skills to help them cope with daily life as it happens, it’s not just “talk therapy.”

Meet the Therapist

Are you looking for an experienced therapist who specializes and is certified in DBT? One who is supportive and validating, yet down to earth and provides honest feedback? Are you struggling with intense emotions, negative/ruminating thoughts, impulsive behavior, or doubting yourself and the decisions you make? Do you feel like you’re "not good enough," are too critical of yourself, or "overthink everything?" Do you have difficulty managing the stress, disappointments, and changes in your life?
Hi, my name is Stephanie. I have been a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) therapist for 15 years. DBT gives you the tools and skills necessary to help you cope better with life overall. I have a passion for helping others meet their goals, while providing a safe and empathetic environment that promotes both acceptance and change.
